Shelley C. Booken, Esq.
Shelley Booken focuses her practice on Trusts and Estates, Probate and Elder Law. Prior to joining the firm, Shelley litigated cases on behalf of The State of Florida in matters related to child abuse and neglect, and prior to that, she practiced real estate law in New York City at a large, international law firm.
Shelley’s desire to work with families in a client-focused practice led her to The Office of Brian C. Perlin, P.A., where Shelley enjoys assisting clients in preparing for their future and protecting their families. Shelley’s passion for helping others is evidenced through her numerous professional recognitions, including the Community Partner Award for Outstanding Contribution from the Family Resource Center in 2013, the Outstanding Performance Award from the Miami-Dade Regional Child Welfare Conference in 2012, and the Commitment to Justice Award from InMotion, Inc. in 2011.
Shelley earned her Bachelors of Science degree from Northwestern University in 2004 and received her Juris Doctor, with honors, from The George Washington University School of Law in 2008. While in law school, Shelley’s article on design piracy legislation was published in The American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal.
Shelley is licensed to practice law in Florida and New York. She is a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar. She is proficient in Spanish. A native of South Florida, Shelley loves traveling and spending time with her husband and two young children.
